What is an Osmos Uploader?

What Are Osmos Uploaders?

Osmos Uploaders enable product teams to quickly build upload buttons and embed them into any web property. Osmos Uploaders come pre-integrated with Destination Connectors, including databases, SaaS applications, and filestores to allow for hassle free data uploads.
Any data uploaded by the end-user is saved directly into the destination system, post cleanup. The Osmos Uploader is designed with an intuitive interface for your end users to quickly clean up data using column mapping and SmartFill. Our Advanced Mode can also be leveraged for more in-depth transformations with QuickFixes and Formulas.

Note: The Osmos Uploader defaults to a simplified version. To turn on Advanced Mode simply update the snippet.

Setting Up an Osmos Uploader

To setup an Osmos Uploader, you need to specify the destination system where the uploaded data will be saved. We support all the Destination Connectors specified in the "Destination Systems" section.
Once destination is defined and your Osmos Uploader is saved, you will be presented with a simple Javascript that can be embedded into any web property. As a part of the Osmos Uploader setup, you may also choose to send parameterized values (such as user ID, upload ID etc.) as well as validate the end-user entered data in real-time.

End-User Experience

When your end-user goes to upload data, they will be presented with an intuitive interface to quickly map, clean, and transform the data to fit your destination system schema. When an end-user uploads data through the uploader, the data will show up in your destination system.

Sample Osmos Uploader

Below, we've embedded an Osmos Uploader to help you see first hand how quick and easy our data uploader tool is. Simply download the example data file (.csv), click the button named UPLOAD YOUR DATA, and see the magic for yourself.
In this example, we will upload a raw .csv file, quickly map, cleanup and transform the data, and then send the data directly to a destination table in Google BigQuery. You could also POST the data to an API, save in any databases, or applications - the possibilities are endless, and all without writing a line or code, or wrangling data!
